Regional Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager (East Asia and Pacific)

| Role Overview with key responsibilities |
The Regional Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager (East Asia and Pacific) works closely with WFD’s Head of MEL, who is their line manager. They support country teams at all stages of programming by helping to design effective and proportionate MEL systems for both core funded and third-party programmes, advise on their effective implementation and support teams to evaluate and reflect on results received. The role will work closely with teams across WFD’s offices in the East Asia and Pacific Region, as well as the Regional Business Development Manager and Regional Comms Officer.
The Regional MEL Manager (East Asia and Pacific) is part of the Quality and Innovation directorate and a member of the WFD MEL team. As such, they will also be engaged with wider conversations around MEL strategy and learning at WFD.
| About You – We are looking for the following |
- Educated to degree level with first-hand experience of designing, implementing and supporting monitoring, evaluation and learning within programmes – minimum three years’ experience.
- Good experience with design and delivery of MEL systems for programmes working on democracy, governance, peacebuilding, human rights, rule of law or other related thematic areas.
- Familiarity working with theories of change and logframes/results frameworks for planning and delivering impactful programmes.
- Experience supporting MEL in multiple countries across the East Asia and Pacific region, navigating different cultural and organisational contexts.
- Very strong English technical writing skills including experience writing donor bids.
- Excellent level of written and oral communication skills in English.
- Able to effectively organise and prioritise competing demands
