Program Intern
Background
The Global Alliance for a Sustainable Planet (GASP) is an international collaborative effort dedicated to addressing the most pressing global sustainability challenges. By identifying and supporting sustainability champions, incubating transformative ideas, leveraging private finance for public good, and replicating success stories at scale, GASP advances innovative solutions that ensure a thriving planet for future generations.
As our alliance continues to grow and expand its programs, the volume of coordination with partners, speakers, events, and community engagement has increased significantly.
The Program Intern will play a key role in strengthening collaboration with partners by supporting joint events, coordinating international climate conferences and virtual programs, assisting with program development, and helping identify and invite speakers and participants.
Role Summary
The Program Intern will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs and partnerships across the organization. Working across teams including communications, operations, and projects, the intern will assist with organizing events, supporting partner engagement, coordinating speakers and participants, and helping deliver virtual and in-person programs. The goal of the role is to strengthen program operations, foster collaboration, and support the effective delivery and growth of the alliance’s initiatives.

Duration: 6 months
Responsibilities
Program Development & Research
- Conduct subject research and support agenda development for virtual and in-person programs
- Conduct background research on climate policy developments, and partnership opportunities
Speaker & Partner Engagement
- Identify, research, and conduct outreach to potential speakers, moderators, and partners
- Assist with partner engagement and collaborative programming initiatives across the Alliance
Event Coordination & Logistics
- Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, virtual platforms, meeting materials, and participant communications
- Support planning and coordination for major international events, including Conferences of the Parties (COPs) for UN Conventions, London Climate Action Week, and Climate Week NYC
Event Facilitation & Communications
- Provide moderation support during events, including managing chat, Q&A, and note-taking
- Prepare post-event deliverables such as recaps, summaries, and key insights for stakeholders and partners
