DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCER
Join FIA as a Digital Content Producer
Are you a visionary leader with a passion for driving Global alliances towards impactful change? FIA is looking for a dynamic Digital Content Producer to join our Global and Regional Alliances Team. Be at the helm of our mission to strengthen alliances and promote our organisational culture and values.
About the role:
The Fight Inequality Alliance (FIA) is looking for a dynamic, creative and politically engaged Digital Content Producer to join our Communications and Media Team. This is a unique opportunity to shape how our global movement shows up online — reaching, engaging and mobilising millions of people across the world in the fight against inequality.
You will lead the creation of digital content that informs, inspires, and activates — bringing our campaigns to life across social media, email and our website. Working closely with the Digital Strategist, you will help build narrative power and engagement through compelling visual and written content.
We are looking for a versatile digital communicator who can conceptualise, script, write, design, and edit — someone who is as comfortable creating a punchy meme or Instagram carousel as they are scripting and editing a short video or building email content in Mailchimp.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Content Creation
- Develop and produce visual and written content for FIA’s social media platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube), ensuring consistency with our values and brand.
- Create engaging graphics, short videos, GIFs, reels, carousels, memes, infographics, and threads for different platforms.
- Write attention-grabbing captions, headlines, and call-to-actions tailored to each platform and audience.
- React swiftly to news events, cultural moments, and trending topics with timely content.
Website and Email Content
- Create visual and copy content for FIA’s email designed to drive response (e.g. in Mailchimp).
- Support content updates on FIA’s website (via WordPress or similar CMS).
- Design banners, images, and layout visuals optimised for desktop and mobile.
Video Scripting and Editing
- Write basic scripts for short-form videos (under 2 minutes).
- Edit and produce basic video content using accessible tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, Canva, or similar).
- Source and edit stock footage, overlay text, music, and subtitles where required.
Graphic Design
- Design visually compelling static and motion graphics to support campaigns, digital actions, and movement storytelling.
- Apply strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout to deliver consistent, high-quality work.
- Create design templates and toolkits for use by national alliances and partners.
Coordination & Support
- Work closely with FIA’s Digital Strategist to align content with campaign priorities.
- Maintain a content calendar aligned with mobilisation and media opportunities.
- Maintain an organised library of assets (images, templates, footage, design files, etc.).
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in digital communications, content production or graphic design — ideally within social movements, NGOs, or activism related projects.
- Strong and diverse portfolio showcasing design, writing, and video work.
- Proficiency in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience writing engaging, platform-native copy for social media.
- Working knowledge of basic video editing tools and workflows.
- Familiarity with content publishing across social media platforms, including mobile-first and accessibility best practices (alt text, captioning, etc.).
- Ability to adapt content quickly to current events, trends, and movement needs.
- Solid time management and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Desired Attributes
- Commitment to social justice, equity, and grassroots-led change.
- Excellent visual storytelling instincts.
- Strong attention to detail, layout and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsive and collaborative team player — comfortable working remotely across time zones and cultures.
- Familiarity with website CMS and email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp).
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); other languages Spanish and French a plus.
Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)
- Photography or video shooting skills.
- Experience supporting multilingual or regional campaigns.
- Knowledge of digital security and accessibility principles.
