Deadline Date: January 30, 2026
The Awesome Foundation is now accepting proposals for its Conservation and Climate Program for individuals and small teams with bold ideas that support nature conservation and climate action.
Run by volunteers and funded through pooled personal contributions, this chapter provides micro-grants designed to support meaningful projects that may be overlooked by larger funding bodies.
The chapter focuses on creative and innovative ideas related to wildlife conservation, habitat protection, climate change solutions, ecotourism and environmental communication. It is especially interested in projects that approach these challenges in fresh or unconventional ways and demonstrate clear potential for real-world impact.
Funding is designed to act as a tipping point, with grants of up to $1,000 intended to help turn near-ready ideas into reality. Priority is given to projects where this small amount of funding will make a decisive difference and help move an idea from concept to action in the short term.
Applicants are encouraged to propose initiatives that can spark wider inspiration and lead to larger outcomes beyond their immediate community. Strong applications clearly explain how the funding will be used and present compelling stories that show both passion and practical planning.
The program welcomes proposals that are close to implementation and ready to move forward quickly. Successful applicants must be able to receive funds through platforms such as PayPal, Wise or Venmo. The foundation does not support personal expenses, salaries, operational costs, established projects, travel, or activities related to politics or religion, and reserves the right not to award a grant if applications do not meet its criteria.
