Open Call: FIP Foundation Early Career Leadership Development Scholarships

Deadline Date: January 07, 2026

The FIP Foundation, in partnership with the ECPG and the Regional Forums, is offering six scholarships to support young pharmacists or pharmaceutical scientists in attending the FIP World Congress and participating in the Leadership Development Workshop.

Objectives of the scholarships: To assist young pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists or pharmacy educators from low, lower-middle or upper-middle-income countries to attend an FIP World Congress. To provide an opportunity for the recipient to further develop his/her leadership skills and knowledge and to apply these skills in future professional organisation leadership roles. To support the recipient in applying leadership skills to improve pharmaceutical practice, pharmaceutical sciences and/or pharmaceutical education in his/her home country and globally.

These scholarships aim to encourage professional growth among early career pharmacists and scientists by offering global exposure and leadership training. Through participation in the FIP World Congress and related workshops, recipients will engage with international peers and experts to strengthen their understanding of leadership in pharmaceutical practice and education.

The Early Career Leadership Development Scholarship includes FIP Congress registration, hotel accommodation for five nights (up to a maximum of 625 Euros in 2026), and visa fees where applicable. Financial compensation for travel will be provided based on the recipient’s region for the most economical travel relative to the location of the Congress. Additionally, recipients will receive a one-year Individual Membership of FIP, a meeting with leaders from the FIP Foundation, FIP ECPG, Regional Forum ExCo, and FIP, as well as mentorship from two appointed mentors — one from the Early Career Pharmaceutical Group (ECPG) and another from the recipient’s region to assist with project planning and implementation.

To be eligible, applicants must be pharmacists, pharmacy educators, or pharmaceutical scientists who have graduated within the past eight years from their first degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences. They must live and work or study in a country or territory classified as low, lower-middle, or upper-middle income by the World Bank. While applicants do not need to be nationals of countries where FIP has member organisations, their application will be evaluated according to the WHO region of their country of residence or study. Applicants who have previously received financial support or a scholarship from the FIP Foundation are not eligible to apply for this program.
