Product Lead

Power to Decide is a national nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. At Power to Decide, we envision a world where everyone—no matter who they are or where they live—has control over their bodies and can decide if, when, and under what circumstances to get pregnant and have a child. Our mission is to advance sexual and reproductive well-being for all. We accomplish this by providing trusted information, expanding access to quality services, and catalyzing culture change.

We meet our mission largely through a robust suite of digital products. Our tools support millions of users annually, and we’re investing in smarter, more sustainable technology infrastructure to ensure we continue to deliver high-quality, accessible, and equitable digital experiences.

Reporting directly to the VP of Digital Programs and Education, the Product Lead will manage complex decision-making and balance trade-offs across multiple digital properties, while maintaining Power to Decide’s mission-driven focus in a rapidly changing political and cultural environment.

Join us at Power to Decide and help shape the future of sexual and reproductive health through innovative digital solutions. If you’re a passionate, strategic, and user-driven product leader, we encourage you to apply!

  • Develop and execute multi-year product roadmaps for Bedsider, AbortionFinder, and potentially new products, aligning them with organizational strategy and mission.

  • Work closely with a project manager to coordinate sprints, manage timelines, and deliver features and enhancements on schedule.
  • Collaborate with engineering team, designers, and external vendors to write and estimate tickets and oversee acceptance testing.
  • Oversee QA processes, ensuring thorough testing, bug documentation, and issue resolution prior to deployment.
  • Supervise vendor relationships to ensure high-quality deliverables, adherence to timelines, and seamless coordination with internal teams.
  • Coordinate grant proposals and reporting, working with development team to articulate product goals and demonstrate measurable impact to funders.
  • Track and report on key milestones for Bedsider and AbortionFinder, meeting grant deliverables and ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Oversee end-to-end product life cycles for existing and emerging tools, from initial discovery to launch and post-launch improvements.
  • Champion user-centric design principles that address the unique needs of individuals seeking sexual and reproductive health resources.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide data-driven decisions and measure success.
  • Iterate on product strategy based on user feedback and research findings, iteratively refining features and functionality.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies relevant to sexual and reproductive health, identifying innovative opportunities to expand Power to Decide’s digital offerings.
  • Present on digital initiatives and impacts at conferences, stakeholder meetings, and internal leadership briefings.
  • Perform other duties as necessary, contributing to the overall success and evolution of the organization’s digital products.

  • 8–10 years of relevant work experience in product management and leadership, preferably in the sexual and reproductive health space.
  • Proven success in creating and executing product roadmaps, leading cross-functional teams, and managing complex product portfolios.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience leading cross-functional teams through  iterative product development cycles.
  • Experience with product management and collaboration tools such as Monday, Airtable, and Jira.
  • Experience supporting creation of funding and grant proposals and reports, including presenting metrics and outcomes to funders.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas, progress, and outcomes effectively to a diverse range of audiences (external stakeholders, board, senior leadership, etc.).
  • Highly adept at complex decision-making, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints in rapidly changing environments.
