Deadline Date: March 25, 2026
The University of Birmingham is pleased to announce its Islam Scholarship to cover up to 100% of the Home or International tuition fees for students studying MA Islamic Studies.
The Islam Fund supports the study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations at University of Birmingham. It is available for students pursuing a Postgraduate Taught qualification at the Masters level and is based at the Birmingham (Edgbaston) campus.
The scholarship is open to Home and Overseas applicants who will commence their MA Islamic Studies Programme at the start of the 2026 academic year. Students of any nationality are eligible to apply, regardless of whether they are classified as Home or International for tuition fee purposes.
Applicants must be new entrants to the Programme, as the award is not available to current Masters students. Applications for funding can only be considered alongside an application to study the MA Islamic Studies Programme and applicants should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence following the completion of their studies.
This award cannot be held in conjunction with any other scholarship, including partnership scholarships. In order to apply, applicants must have completed an application to study before submitting the online funding application form. The application must also be supported by two references, which should be supplied by referees using the funding reference form.
The deadline for submitting a complete funding application is Wednesday, 25 March 2026 at 12:00 noon GMT. Only complete applications submitted before the deadline will be considered. By applying, applicants will be automatically considered for relevant College of Arts and Law scholarships, provided their application is complete by the deadline.
