Call for Proposals for the AU-EU Youth Action Lab Cooperation Grants
Are you ready to tackle some of our world’s global challenges? The Cooperation Grants financially support youth organisations, particularly marginalised youth, to engage in policy-making and cross-continental collaboration between Africa and Europe. Grants of 50.000 EURO are available for consortiums of youth-led organisations, with at least one African organisation and one European organisation. What do we mean with cooperation? Young people around the world often face similar challenges. Some, like climate change and inequality, require global solutions; others, such as lack of education or economic opportunities, demand more localised solutions. Cooperation grants aim to help African and European youth organisations share resources, knowledge and strategies, and to leverage the added value of collaboration, creating a stronger response across continents. Youth-led organisations from the AU and EU must apply together, with at least two organisations as part of the consortium. Applications must be submitted jointly; independent submissions from a single organisation will not be accepted. Each group of organisations must dedicate their proposal to tackling one solution, with work taking place in both continents. We believe that by cooperation, our actions become stronger! What can you expect when you receive a grant? Cooperation Grants aim to: Is your organisation eligible to apply? What kind of activities can you propose? Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs | Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2025
About the Scholarship It is predicted that by 2030, at least 2 billion young people will be seeking work and opportunities, making underemployment and a lack of opportunities one of the most significant socio-economic and security challenges we are currently faced with. Youth unemployment has been directly linked to feelings of social exclusion, anxiety, and hopelessness; and at its worst, can lead to poverty, violent extremism, political instability, and crime. As such, finding solutions to this growing problem will be key to creating a peaceful, sustainable, and equitable future for all. Local entrepreneurs play a key role in achieving this, creating jobs and providing youth employment opportunities for those in their communities. The role of young entrepreneurs is particularly relevant in the context of fragile and conflict affected states. Young people often turn to entrepreneurship to develop opportunities for themselves and their communities in these circumstances. Moreover, the capacity of young people to deal with the uncertainty, partly caused by fragile ecosystems, can be a powerful source for new ideas and approaches. Especially, digital and social innovations have become prevalent in the workforce to allow them to adapt to changing circumstances. The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is committed to investing in education and youth employment for this reason; aiming to improve prospects for young people, particularly in developing countries and fragile states, by bridging the gap between the skills young people learn and what the labour market demands. In support of these efforts, the Dutch Enterprise Agency (RVO), on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is pleased to launch their annual scholarship in collaboration with One Young World to offer young leaders and entrepreneurs from these countries a place at the annual One Young World Summit. The One Young World Summit 2025 will see 2,000 young leaders from 190+ countries descend to Munich for the global forum for young leaders, during which delegates will present and debate solutions to our time’s most pressing issues alongside senior leaders. This will offer young entrepreneurs an unparalleled experience to become engaged, build on successful initiatives, and connect with other changemakers around the world. Enterprising Futures Scholars will receive: Eligibility Criteria Candidates must be: The Dutch MFA values an inclusive and diverse environment. The Pollination Project’s Daily Grant Applications are now open
The Pollination Project exists to uplift grassroots changemakers whose work helps build a kinder, more compassionate world. We don’t have narrowly defined criteria for projects we fund, preferring to be led by our community and applicants like you. So long as your work fits our general guidelines, our team will consider any effort that moves us towards a better world. Funding decisions are made on a rolling basis by 100+ volunteer grant advisors, most of whom have previously received seed funding from The Pollination Project. We are honored to learn about your project and vision. We hope this is the beginning of a meaningful relationship with you, one that starts with seed funding but expands as you connect and engage with our global community of 6,000+ changemakers. Who we fund: We fund individuals, informally organized groups and organizations, and formally registered or incorporated not for profit organizations based anywhere in the world. We make our application process open to as many people as possible. That said, we do have a few guidelines that help us stay in alignment with our core values. We support: Early-stage ideas: the annual budget for your group or organization must be less than $50,000, and the total cost for the project must be less than $10,000 Practical dreamers: we look for evidence that you have started some level of work on your project New People & Projects: if you, anyone in your group, or your organization has previously received funding from us for this project or for any other work, we ask that you leave the opportunity to apply for seed funding open for others rather than reapply. Similarly, no other representative of your group or organization should currently have a proposal actively under our review at the time that you apply Grassroots volunteerism: your group or organization must not have paid staff. Your project shouldn’t be designed to generate personal profit for you or anyone else. Note: If you sometimes contract for web design, accounting, or other professional services, that is allowed. If you do generate profit, it must be reinvested in a non-profit effort. Compassion consciousness: we will not fund any person or organization carrying out work promoting or advocating for animal agriculture, even if that work is not part of your proposal to TPP Freedom of all kinds, including religious freedom: we can’t support projects or groups who seek to proselytize, evangelize, or require those served to participate in faith-based practices Equality & Inclusion: you and your group/organization must not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, age, or faith Legal Compliance: legally, we can’t support work that seeks to influence the outcome of elections for specific candidates, or work that induces or encourages violations of law or public policy, or work that causes any improper private benefit to occur. Lastly, to receive a grant, you or your group/organization must be able to receive a wire transfer or Paypal payment in US dollars What we can’t fund: We believe you are the best person to decide how your seed funding should be used, and we support most project-related costs that fall within the guidelines above. There are a few costs we can’t support, and those include: What do grant advisors look for? Our grantmaking team evaluates grant proposals based on their own experience working in a similar geographic or issue area. They also consider: What opportunities are available to me if I am funded by TPP? Take the first step. Apply today here: Application form.
